The Just Doing M.E. Mindful Eating and Positive Body Image Workshop, will provide you with a different approach to food and eating, without dieting and restriction. You will learn to become in tune with your body signals, and become your biggest supporter.

This program will give you the skills you need to attain your ideal comfortable weight, whatever it might be. Your ideal weight is the weight your body naturally settles into when you’re nourishing it with mostly whole foods, paying attention to hunger and fullness cues, and leaving room to occasionally indulge in a mindful manner. If you’re currently above your ideal weight, as is often the case for those that struggle with stress eating, this program may help you lose weight over time. On the other hand, if you’ve been on a low calorie diet for a long time, you may gain weight to reach your ideal weight.

The goal is to become more in tune with your body, love and accept the skin you are in, and befriend your inner critical voice.

HOW IT WORKS:
  • It’s a small group program with a maximum of 10 participants
  • We meet every week for 5 consecutive weeks
  • Meetings are online or in the NYC area
  • The session lasts for 1.5 hours
  • The session is divided up into learning new tools, practice and sharing experiences
  • Short weekly exercises are given to assist in integrating these new concepts into your daily life
  • Option of booking a one-to-one consulting session at a special rate

IN THIS 5 WEEK PROGRAM YOU WILL:

  • Learn tools to eat foods you love without feeling guilty
  • Learn how to calm down that critical nagging voice in your head
  • Understand why we eat when we are not hungry
  • Learn tools to distinguish hunger signals and to stop eating when you have had enough
  • Learn how to write specific affirmations that relate to you
  • Learn mindfulness tools to increase your awareness of patterns and habits around food and eating
  • Practice visualization and meditation techniques

  • Fast rapid weight loss
  • A quick fix or new diet
  • To learn about nutrition
If you have an eating disorder:

This program is not appropriate for those struggling with active eating disorders, or for those in the early stages of their recovery. Recovering from an eating disorder requires one-on-one nutrition counseling, therapy, and a medical team, none of which are provided in this program.

  • Practical mindful eating tools – learning to slow down

  • How to handle emotions – dealing with the inner critic
  • Learning to accept and befriend your body
  • Mindful practices
  • Identifying and honoring your needs
  • Self-care
  • Meditation/Visualization
  • Examining what you are truly hungry for?
