Janet McKeehan-Medina MA, MFT
At a young age, I noticed the difficulty family and friends had obtaining services for loved ones with a learning disability. Unfortunately, it is still difficult for many parents to figure out what assistance their child needs.
I began working with children who have various special needs (gifted, ASD, ADHD, OHI, CAPD, deaf, blind, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, etc.) as a teen for a Los Angeles non-profit.
I continued my career working with children who had special needs in the classroom and later as a psychotherapist focused on children and families. I was an official IEP Spanish translator for 10 years and have attended countless IEP meetings. I am an active member of COPAA and have taken many advocacy classes.
My passion is to be the support you need, no matter where you are in the process of getting your child help, and to come up with self-care goals so you may have the strength to keep battling for your child. I have been working as an Educational Consultant and Parent Coach for over 10 years.
